Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship (Illinois)

Full-Time | W-2 | Fully Virtual | Supervised Postdoctoral Training

Mindful Healing Counseling offers a full-time Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship for individuals who have completed all doctoral coursework and are working toward licensure in Illinois.

This fellowship is designed for postdocs who want high-quality supervision, meaningful clinical experience, and sustainable training without burnout or pressure to “figure everything out alone.”

About the Fellowship

Postdoctoral training can feel overwhelming—balancing clinical hours, supervision quality, finances, and the pressure to get licensed while still being human.

At Mindful Healing Counseling, we aim to create a fellowship that feels steady, supportive, and growth-oriented, so postdocs can build confidence as clinicians while maintaining balance.

This is a fully remote (telehealth) postdoctoral fellowship serving clients across Illinois. Fellows gain experience in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care within a supportive group practice model.

Training Focus & Client Populations

Postdoctoral fellows provide assessment and therapy services for:

  • Adolescents, adults, and couples

  • Anxiety, trauma, life transitions, women’s health, and relationship concerns

  • BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients seeking affirming, culturally responsive care

Clinical work is supported by consultation, supervision, and a collaborative team culture.

Supervision & Mentorship

  • Weekly individual supervision with a licensed psychologist

  • Additional consultation available for emergent clinical needs

  • Supervision hours meet Illinois licensure requirements

  • Relational, mentoring-focused supervisory style

  • Dedicated time for clinical preparation and EPPP study

We believe supervision should feel thoughtful, supportive, and ethical.

Fellowship Structure & Weekly Schedule (Full-Time)

This fellowship is structured to support licensure progress while protecting your energy.
